For our ICT creative project we decided to try something comical, specifically a parody or even multiple parodies. We ended up doing three parodies of different types of documentaries. Here is the script: 

Screenplay for Documentary Parodies - ICT Creative Project

Introduction

Comes in with shot of JAY and PAUL walking down a corridor talking to the camera as it slowly backs away.

JAY: With human knowledge of technology increasing as we speak, choosing a topic has become increasingly difficult.

PAUL: After thinking hard and long it hit us, just like BAM! Kapeesh. We thought: KNOWLEDGE = POWER, DOCUMENTARIES = KNOWLEDGE.

JAY: So we decided to make some documentaries

PAUL: We could explore NATURE! SPACE! REALITY!

NATURELLE

JAY Legend says that wild Paul once roamed this wilderness. The beast has never been seen since Oshamatu Shikuru recorded his sightings in Janayi. This mythical beast had not been seen for many a century, but yesterday we received confirmed sightings from locals.This is why i am here today.

JAY Searching through the wasteland, it will be difficult to locate the creature but when we do, we will have to be prepared.

JAY  We have finally located the creature. We will try not to disturb it as it is hibernating. We will run a few quick tests on the protoctista. Scratches skin with pen. From the dark blue blood, it is clear that this creature has an astonishing metabolic rate. Pokes Wild Paul.  Whoops. I think I must have disturbed the

SPACE

PAUL: Could you describe space in one word for me?

HILLY: space?

PAUL: Fascinating

JAY: After an exhilarating interview with Mr. Jacoby we decided to set up an experiment ourselves.

PAUL: We set up a few cameras and sent them up to space on balloons from Belgium during a business trip

PAUL: After hours of observing the footage we received from the cameras we finally got the results.

JAY: The results were fascinating, beyond belief even. We discovered that any second YOU could die from incoming meteorites or the whole planet could be sucked up by a black hole

PAUL: every million years the earth passes through a zone full of black holes and our experiment has told us that the last time we passed through this zone was approximately 1 million years ago.

REALITY DOCUMENTARY

JAY: Welcome to the first ever episode of little sister

PAUL: We thought of a great new original idea to put 4 strange people in a room together and see what happens.

enter hilly, jack paul and jay

JOSH: i’m bored

LEO: well that’s not my problem is it?

PAUL: keep it down i’m trying to sleep!

JAY: at 2 in the afternoon??

JOSH: i’m hungry

JAY: i don’t know why you’re always trying to thrust your problems on someone else, we have problems too!

JOSH: i’m tired

JAY: agghhhhhhhhhhh

JOSH: i’m bored again

LEO: you know what, you’ve got so much attitude, you think everyone’s lower than you (crying), why don’t you just leave me alone

leo storms out

JOSH: i’m hungry

josh walks out

camera focuses on paul still sleeping

VOICEOVER: and the winner is PAUL!!!

 You can compare the script to the video to observe changes that occurred from the original script to the final product

Some problems we came across: The audio was very uneven and we had trouble fixing this due to background noise in some footage and voiceovers being a lot clearer and louder comparatively. We also had trouble sending files over different computers as some files were too large to send.
